It’s been two months since Hurricane Sandy wreaked havoc along the east coast. As anyone who has been following the news lately knows, there is still no government aid package for the citizens of this country who are so desperately in need of financial assistance. In addition, my parent’s personal struggle persists – Allstate continues to deny them coverage for their property, despite an eyewitness account of their house being taken down by the storm’s strong winds. At this point, their future continues to remain unknown.
With that being said, we would like to say thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to all who have donated their time, money, well wishes, and prayers to my parents. You are the reason their hope for a better tomorrow remains alive. We have received an overwhelming amount of support, and are eternally grateful for the love we have felt and continue to feel from so many!
The following links will provide a firsthand account of the recent goings-on:
I hope you all enjoyed the recent holiday – I was able to clean and salvage some old family photos, and assemble an album for my parent’s this past Christmas. I’ve leave you with the quote I included on the cover page…
“Nothing is ever really lost to us as long as we remember it.” – L.M. Montgomery
Take care, and God bless…
Juliann,
I was in complete shock when I heard the news & I’m still speechless. My heart goes out to you and your family.
Joe
